Fire Protection
The Fortafix fire protection range incorporates inorganic flame retardant sealants and adhesives to withstand temperatures up to 1250 deg C. They are suitable for many applications, including panel fixing, flame seals, jointing of flame barrier materials and can comply with BS 476: Part 4: Non combustibility test for Materials. Our products are supplied to many customers where temperature and flame resistance is critical. Furthermore we provide specialist materials to research institutions and test facilities.
Industrial Engineering
Products to seal, coat, bond, encapsulate and repair many materials in a wide range of process & maintenance applications. Suitable for temperatures up to 1600 deg C. Fortafix products are used in the offshore industry, power generation, iron and steel production, chemical process, and many other industrial applications. Special Engineering
Fortafix have developed products for many specialist applications where bonding, sealing and coating is required to resist high temperature. Applications include strain gauge adhesive for use on jet engine test facilities, satellite mirror housings, and boltless machine mounting. Fortafix chemists can develop application specific products.
Electrical Insulation
Fortafix produce a wide range of adhesives, coatings and encapsulation compounds where electrical insulation is required to perform at high temperatures. Applications include Halogen Lamp production, resistor coating, heating element housing and motor encapsulation.
